ACC Week 9 Picks ATS and Straight Up
The ACC has been an interesting slate in the terms of sports betting. Teams haven’t closed their spreads or have covered pretty well. Lets take a look at the action going on this week:
Miami @ Pittsburgh -5.5
This Miami team has only played on the road once this year (technically twice with the neutral site spat with Florida). However, Pittsburgh hasn’t shown us they can have GREAT home games. Their average home win margin sitting at 4.5 points. I will take a motivated Miami team to return some revenge after the 2017 game. On the spread of course.
ATS: Miami Straight Up: Pittsburgh
Syracuse @ Florida State -10.0
I would say this is a pretty obvious pick, since the Syracuse Orange cannot protect their quarterback at all. And that Florida State has been having a great showing with their defense. I can see the Seminoles winning by around 14-17 points here.
ATS: FSU Straight Up: FSU
Virginia @ Louisville +3.5
Louisville plays well at home, if we aren’t minding the game that happened last week. If this line was a bit higher like in the 7-10 range in favor of Virginia, then we might be having a discussion. There is just no way though to excuse the Cardinal’s bad defense and a stellar defensive side for Virginia, who will force some turnovers to win this game
ATS: Virginia Straight Up: Virginia
Duke @ North Carolina -3.0
Duke just got blasted by Virginia last week. And then they have to go on the road, again, to face a heartbroken rival after their 6OT loss. I don’t like where this is heading for the Blue Devils.
ATS: UNC Straight Up: UNC
Boston College @ #4 Clemson -34.0
Clemson has only ever beaten Boston College by this spread’s means only once in the last ten meetings. This is no push-over Boston College team, they will run this play and chew clock. I like the Eagles to keep it close, but to by no means win the game.
ATS: BC Straight Up: Clemson
