Yuck. I cannot take this for much longer ladies and gentlemen. I am watching one of the most storied conferences of all-time slowly crumble into something that should be replaced by the American Conference. However, we will still try to rank this puzzle of a conference:
ACC Atlantic:
- Clemson Tigers (4-0, 2-0)
- Wake Forest Demon Deacons (4-0, 0-0)
- NC State Wolfpack (3-1, 0-0)
- Boston College Eagles (3-1, 1-0)
- Florida State Seminoles (2-2, 1-1)
- Louisville Cardinals (2-2, 0-1)
- Syracuse Orange (2-2, 0-1)
ACC Coastal
- Virginia Cavaliers (4-0, 2-0)
- Miami Hurricanes (2-2, 0-1)
- Duke Blue Devils (2-1, 0-0)
- Pittsburgh Panthers (2-2, 0-1)
- North Carolina Tarheels (2-2, 1-0)
- Virginia Tech Hokies (2-1, 0-1)
- Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (1-2, 0-1)
Thoughts on the Atlantic:
The Tigers once again got a huge win against a scrapper team, nothing too shocking. Wake Forest showed the rest of the conference that you will have to out beat them in your scoring with a nice 42-point win. NC State wasn’t necessarily bad, but they were far from perfect, I am sure they will rally to get better for FSU. Boston College involved in another tight fight against a lesser opponent, they are beginning to worry me. Both Louisville and FSU went back and forth in their game, but nothing bad to bash each of them about. Syracuse, please get your stuff together sooner rather than later if you want to make a bowl game.
Thoughts on the Coastal:
The Cavaliers almost crumbled offensively against the ODU team. Miami looked less than stellar against Central Michigan of all teams. Duke had a bye week, so they cannot have anything said against them. We saw the Pittsburgh Panthers get a huge upset over UCF, thanks for shattering their “title hopes”. North Carolina continues to disappoint, this caused them to loss a big time recruit today. The Hokies had a bye week, but we bumped them down due to what was happening above them. Georgia Tech, glad you got the bye week after that tough game against the Citadel…right.
