Stock Up Stock Down Post Week 2
Stock Up – Maryland
Last week Maryland diced up Howard for 78. Alright Howard probably sucks. This week they diced up Syracuse for 63. Jackson has been lethal, and Maryland has been running the ball at will. Is it too soon to consider Maryland a potential contender in the Big Ten? Penn State week 5 will be their first significant test.
Stock Down – Tennessee
Back to Back stock downs for Tennessee. Been about as rough a start to the season as possible for a team that received some Top 25 votes heading into 2019. BYU isn’t exactly garbage, but losing to them at home is a bad look for the 0-2 Vols.
Stock Down – PAC 12 Playoff Hopes
Heading into the season the Pac 12 was headlined by Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Stanford. Oregon lost week 1 and Washington/Stanford dropped games week 2. Unless you believe Wash. State to be a legit contender, it looks like Utah is the last remaining challenger. What does that mean? It means that the Pac 12 will not make a CFB playoffs this season.
Stock Up – LSU
LSU went into hostile territory to beat a very good Texas team. Joe Burrow looks like a Heisman candidate and the DB unit is among the best in the country. LSU has some tough games, but outside of Alabama week 11, they should be the favorite in every game. It took a while, but they may finally have the offense to compete for a natty.
