2019 Auburn Tigers Football: Second Half Season Predictions
Last week, we previewed the first half of the Auburn Tigers schedule. Now, it’s time to dive into the second half of the season!
Saturday, October 19th vs Arkansas
The Tigers should will win this one and probably, fairly easily. First, The Tigers would be coming off a loss to Florida. They would be fighting for their playoff lives in this game. Secondly, Auburn is by far the more talented team between the two teams on both sides of the ball. AUBURN 37, ARKANSAS 10
Saturday, October 26th vs LSU
Let me start off by saying this: I’m sorry Auburn Tigers fans. In the football battle of the two tiger teams, LSU already has an advantage by being at home in one of the toughest places to play in college football and Auburn being on the road for their third straight game. LSU’s defense is back to being one of the best in college football. I have LSU winning this one.
LSU 13, AUBURN 6
Saturday, November 2nd vs Ole Miss
I’d nearly guarantee the Tigers get a victory here. Ole Miss has a several issues on and off the field. For the sake of brevity, we will be sticking to the on the field issues. First, Ole Miss loss DK Metcalf and A.J Brown two of their top receivers to the NFL. Secondly, The Rebels have hired two coaches in the off-season that already have major off field issues. Who knows what will happen with their situations.
AUBURN 30, ARKANSAS 13
Saturday, November 16th vs Georgia
This game has the signs of a upset. First off, Auburn is coming off a bye week. Georgia had theirs in the first month of the season. Secondly, this game is being played at home for Auburn. Finally, the last couple times that Auburn has beat Georgia, they were in Auburn’s home stadium. With that being said, I’m going to pick Auburn, but that doesn’t mean Auburn is the better team. Georgia is the better team on both sides of the ball.
AUBURN 28, GEORGIA 21
Saturday, November 23rd vs Samford
3rd of three “scrimmage” games for the Tigers.
AUBURN 35, SAMFORD 0
Saturday, November 30th vs Alabama
As usual, this game will likely be for the SEC West Championship and Auburn’s championship hopes. Unfortunately, I don’t see much of any chance for Auburn here. Now, most of the time you would expect some type of drop-off in a team that loses both coordinators. But, It’s Alabama and they always prove us wrong. I would be surprised if anything changed this year. With that being said, I am going to take Alabama.
ALABAMA 42, AUBURN 26
That wraps up the season preview. I predict a 10-2 finish for the Tigers. Which should be enough to save Malzahn’s job. That being said, it probably won’t be good enough for a playoff spot in 2019.
