Bol Bol NBA Scouting Report and Pro Comparison
Measurables:
- Age:
- Height: 7’2.5″
- Wingspan: 7’5.5″
- Weight: 208 LBs
Strengths:
Absurd potential as a shot blocker.
Could be elite shooter (52.0 3PT% on 25 attempts). Release point is very difficult to contest.
Has advanced handles and passing skills for a big man.
Fluid scorer. Can hit shots from all around the court.
Weaknesses:
Has very little of a post game.
Struggles to guard the perimeter. Will be targeted in NBA.
Lot of injury concerns.
Dude needs to put on some weight.
Pro Comparison:
Kristaps Porzingis as a Poor Defender
Nobody has really ever seen anyone with the shooting touch Bol has at his size, except Porzingis. Defensively is where the comparison ends. Porzingis will likely be a All-Defense team cantidate when healthy, and Bol is a liability at this point.
NBA Draft Outlook:
9-20 Range.
Ideal Fits:
Washington at 9:
Wizards are looking for building blocks and Bol has a ton of upside at 9. His scoring and shot-blocking potential may be enough for Washington to take a chance on the potential unicorn. He would be able to have a major impact on the offensive end on a team that doesn’t have any scorers in the Frontcourt.
Charlotte at 12:
Similarly to Washington, the Hornets doesn’t have a ton of young talent. Bol would be a home run pick at 12 who has more upside than (likely) anyone else at the 12th pick. He could be a major cog in the offense and get a larger role than he would on most NBA teams.
