Nickeil Alexander-Walker NBA Scouting Report and Pro Comparison
Measurables:
- Age: 20
- Height: 6’5.5″
- Wingspan: 6’9.5″
- Weight: 205 LBs
Strengths:
Very good defender. Can guard both backcourt slots.
Good handles and playmaking skills for a combo guard.
Decent shooter.
Very smooth athlete. Has a good first step.
Weaknesses:
Can be passive offensively.
Turnover Prone. 2.9 TO/Game.
Struggles to score in traffic.
Pro Comparison:
George Hill
Tall combo guards who use their length and quick feet to be pests defensively. On offense they have a good spot up jumper and a good enough first step to get looks at the rim.
NBA Draft Outlook:
15-22 Range.
Ideal Fits:
Brooklyn at 17:
Alexander-Walker has potential to be a PG, but will likely need to be in a secondary ball-handler role early on. Him and DeAnglo Russell would form a very good offense/defense combo in the backcourt. Both can shoot, handle, and have enough size to switch on opposing guards defensively.
OKC at 21:
OKC has a big hole at SG and would benefit from Alexander-Walker’s 3/D potential. He would actually have a chance at starting Day 1 depending on Roberson’s health. Walker and Westbrook would form a very interesting backcourt.
