Keldon Johnson NBA Scouting Report and Pro Comparison
Measurables:
- Age: 19
- Height: 6’6″
- Wingspan: 6’9.25″
- Weight: 216 LBs
Strengths:
Very good form on jumper. Projects as great shooter.
Decent defender. Has size/speed to potentially guard 1-3.
Solid athlete. Has a quick first step for a wing.
Good rebounder.
Has shown a nice floater.
Weaknesses:
Doesn’t do one specific thing particularly well.
Has not proven himself as go-to offensive option.
Hasn’t shown advanced playmaking skills.
Pro Comparison:
Malik Beasley
All-Around wings who are very solid shooters who can play some defense. Both can struggle at times to make an impact offensively, but can heat up in a hurry when shots are falling.
NBA Draft Outlook:
15-26 Range.
Ideal Fits:
Indiana at 18:
Oladipo is coming off a major injury, Bogdanovic is a free agent, and Tyreke Evans couldn’t stay off the weeeeeed. Not a ton of depth on the wing for the Pacers. Johnson would be a nice young option who can stretch the floor and has some upside defensively. Could play major minutes early on depending on how soon Olaipo comes back.
OKC at 21:
OKC is still looking for a SG who can play along Westbrook and Johnson has the off-ball skills to be the guy. His upside as an athletic 3-D wing would be enticing if he falls to 21.
