Ignas Brazdekis NBA Scouting Report and Pro Comparison
Measurables:
- Age: 20
- Height: 6’7.25″
- Wingspan: 6’9.25″
- Weight: 220 LBs
Strengths:
Good Size at 6’7″ with a 6’9″ Wingspan.
Projects as an above average shooter (39 3PT%). Has a great pump fake.
Fantastic off the ball. Makes smart cuts and finishes well.
Limits turnovers.
Very competitive player. Not afraid to be the villain.
Weaknesses:
Defense is a huge question mark. lack of athleticism and lateral quickness will leave little margin of error.
Decent rebounder, but may not be good enough to slide up to PF.
Makes smart passes, but hasn’t shown any consistent playmaking skills. 0.8 APG in almost 30 MPG.
NBA Comparison:
Kyle Singler
The ultimate role player. Singler made the most of his talents into 7 successful years in the NBA and Ignas could have a similar career. Offensively they capitalize on above average jumpshots and great off-ball movement and defensively their ultra competitive personalities make up for lack of physical traits.
Draft Outlook:
Mid-Late Second Round
Ideal Fits:
New Orleans at 39 or 57:
New Orleans is about to have two potential All NBA Talents, Jrue Holiday, and nothing else. Brazdekis would be a nice Mid-Late second rounder with a high floor that would play well off the stars and stretch the floor.
Detroit at 45:
With Griffin and Drummond holding down the paint, the Pistons will be looking for shooters on the Wing. Brazdekis, who thrives from the corner, could open lanes for the star big men and capitalize off cuts via two of the best post playmakers in the game.
