SEC Tournament: Day 4 Preview and Predictions
After Day 2 of SEC play, many crazy things happened. It started with Florida coming back from 10 down at halftime to upset LSU. Then Auburn continued their winning ways by beating South Carolina. While Kentucky hammered Alabama by 20 points. Then to cap off the night Tennessee got a win over Mississippi State.
Flordia(19-14)(9-9 Conf.) vs Auburn(24-9)(11-7 Conf.)
Florida should have a guaranteed spot in the NCAA Tournament with their win over LSU. Now the Gators look to beat a very hot Auburn team. I think the Gator’s run will end here. Mostly because of Florida’s lack of scoring at 68 points a game will come in to effect. As the Auburn defense is very good and only allows 68 points a game. This game will come down to whatever team can get it done on the defensive end and I think that will be Auburn. Tigers:75 Gators:70
Tennessee(28-4)(15-3 Conf.) vs Kentucky(27-5)(15-3 Conf.)
These teams are both evenly matched on defense, but one team stands out on the offensive side of the floor. That is Tennessee. The Volunteers offense averages a very good 82 points a game. This team also has multiple weapons in Grant Williams, Admiral Schofield, Jordan Bone, Jordan Bowden, and Lamonte Turner who all average at least 10 points a game. This will be a very close game, but Kentucky will be slightly beaten in a high scoring game. Volunteers:85 Wildcats:83
