Daily CBB Picks: 3/9/19
The Gods of college basketball were on our side last night, as they guided us to a 5-0 run again! We hope to carry that same energy for the third day:
Record for Last Picks: 5-0 (100%)
Overall Record: 18-2 (90%)
#5 Tennessee at Auburn
I think people are giving Auburn too much credit for their string of wins. Yes, they have been impressive for them, but they are smaller in comparison to others. Tennessee is fully regrouped for that LSU loss and they’ll power back with other big win. Tennessee 78, Auburn 69
Florida at #6 Kentucky
Kentucky gets to return home after a tough string of road games. And Florida is hungry for vengeance for their earlier loss to Kentucky and their OT loss to LSU. I wish I could give it to the Gators for chaos, but that’s not going to happen today. I’ll take Kentucky in dominating fashion in front of their home crowd. Kentucky 77, Florida 64
#4 Duke at #3 North Carolina
Only if the Blue Devils has Zion. Usually this rivalry is a toss-up for both games, but the Tarheels will sweep this year. The lack of paint presence for Duke will just leave it all on their shooters to secure the win. I don’t think Duke will shoot well enough to win, but they’ll keep it close. UNC 74, Duke 69
#7 Michigan at #9 Michigan State
If I’m being completely honest, I think Michigan goes to East Lansing and returns the favor. Michigan has been playing outstanding since the loss to the Spartans. This will be a fired Michigan State crowd that I feel that Michigan can perform well under to win. Michigan 77, Michigan State 75
#25 UCF at Temple
UCF is moving with so much momentum, that I’m not sure who can stop them. Temple will provide a unique challenge with some less physical play. However, UCF will man the paint, rebound well, and secure another win in line. UCF 68, Temple 63
