West Coast Conference Tournament Day 2 Preview and Predictions
After day one of the West Coast Conference Tournament, Pepperdine and San Diego moved on to day 2 of the tournament. Both teams had emphatic wins over their opponents and will look to move on to day three of the tournament.
Pepperdine(14-17)(6-10 Conf.) vs Loyola Marymount(20-10)(8-8 Conf.)
Pepperdine struggled to score last night against Pacific. The waves shot 33% from the field and 29% from three point range last night. If Pepperdine can’t find ways to score against a bad defense like Pacific, then their is no way they will be able to score against a very good defense like Loyola Marymount. The Lions are ranked 15th in the country on points allowed on defense, only allowing 62 points a game this season. This defense will allow the Lions to get an easy win and move on to the next round of the tournament. Lions: 70 Waves: 58
San Diego(19-13)(7-9 Conf.) vs Santa Clara(16-14)(8-8 Conf.)
San Diego had an emphatic 20 point win over Portland last night. The Toreos shot a very good percentage against Portland and that should continue against Santa Clara. The Bronocs have one of the worse defenses in the nation as they give up 70 points a game. This will be enough of an advantage for San Diego to move on to day three. Toreros: 75 Broncos: 70
