Daily CBB Picks: 3/5/19
This Wednesday provides us with a small slew of games, with Florida State-Virginia Tech being the highlighted game. However, this does not make any of the other games less important for March. Now, lets take a look into what tonight has to offer:
#15 Virginia Tech at #14 Florida State
I think this will be more of a competitive game than originally thought. The Seminoles have been on a roll at home by slipping away from potential upsets. However, I think the Seminoles have been long-due for an upset with their caliber of playing right now. I see the Hokies going on a big run early in the second and taking the upset back to Blacksburg. Virginia Tech 72, Florida State 67
#6 Kentucky at Ole Miss
Kentucky has a bad loss to Tennessee this weekend, but I don’t feel this will keep them back in terms of playing. However, look for Ole Miss to give it their all in a fight for a spot in the March tournament. Watch for a close game throughout the game until the final minutes where Kentucky’s talent shows. Kentucky 67, Ole Miss 65
Nebraska at #9 Michigan State
This game is pretty simple with Michigan State suffering a tough road loss. For the Cornhuskers, they are on a line of bad losses that have spelled them nowhere near an upset. Michigan State will take this one dominantly and with style. Michigan State 73, Nebraska 62
Mississippi State at #5 Tennessee
The Volunteers have avenged themselves after a tough upset loss at LSU. However, this week the Volunteers get to take on Mississippi State to truly show us who belongs at the top of the SEC. I feel that the Volunteers will prove to us everything we already knew about them: they are a national title contender in March. Tennessee 76, Mississippi St 71
#13 Kansas at Oklahoma
At home, this Oklahoma team is very scary with their playing. This is the opposite for the Jayhawks on the road, as they can be a bit tricky. I think it will be an electrifying atmosphere tonight with some great playing. When it is all said and done, I think we get a Sooner win that won’t shock many in the Big 12. Oklahoma 77, Kansas 70
