No.19 LSU Travels to Lexington to Take on No.5 Kentucky
No.5 Kentucky(20-3)(9-1) is coming off a close 71-67 victory over Mississippi State. While No.19 LSU(19-4)(9-1) is coming off a 83-78 victory over a very good Auburn team.
Why Kentucky Can Win:
LSU has very bad defense allowing 73 points a game good for 232nd in the nation. Kentucky by the way has a very good offense and has numerous scorers like PJ Washington, Keldon Johnson, Tyler Herro, and Reid Travis who all average above 10 points a game. If Kentucky wants to win this game they are going to have to take advantage of LSU’s poor defense.
Why LSU Can Win:
LSU has a lot of work to do if they gonna upset Kentucky. Kentucky is very good on both sides of the ball. LSU will have to find ways to put the ball in the basket. As Kentucky only allows 65 points a game which is ranked 39th in the nation. LSU is also gonna have to find ways to stop Kentucky’s vaunted offense.
Players to Watch:
Sophomore PJ Washington has balled out this season for Kentucky. Washington has averaged 14 points, eight rebounds, and one assist while shooting 51% from the field.
Tremont Waters has had such a good season for the Tigers. Waters has averaged 15 points, three rebounds, and six assists while shooting 44% from the field.
Score Prediction:
LSU has had a very good season, but the Tigers are just not on Kentucky’s level. The Wildcats will take advantage of a poor LSU defense. Kentucky will win by a lot at home. Wildcats: 80 Tigers: 70
