Virginia Tech Out on 4 Players Due to Tranfer Portal
The Virginia Tech Hokies are set to lose a lot of offensive talent to the transfer portal this spring. This list would include: QB Josh Jackson (missed last half of 2018 season due to ankle injury), RB Deshawn McClease (split time with RB Steven Peoples this season), WR Eric Kumah (2nd leading receiver on team), and TE Chris Cunningham (had lost spot to new TE Dalton Keane). This young and talented group helped get Virginia Tech to great levels in 2017, when they achieved a record of (9-4).
Many fans and alumni are very confused on why these transfers are becoming so common at Virginia Tech. The theories range from Fuente becoming outed by the players, Holomon Wiggins leaving to Alabama, and just the players upset with their situation coming in 2019. Whichever of these theories are correct, some of these losses will truly hurt the Hokie’s offense this coming season.
