Kentucky Clashes With Auburn in Matchup of SEC Elite
Kentucky(13-3)(3-1) is coming off a very easy win over Georgia and look to continue their storied SEC dominance over Auburn. While Auburn (13-3)(2-1) is coming off their own impressive win over Texas A&M.
Why Kentucky Could Win:
In all games Auburn has lost this season one big glaring stat is Auburn’s turnovers. In two of their their three losses this season they have had double digit turnovers in all of those games. Kentucky should try to take advantage of this and force turnovers to try to get easy baskets. Kentucky must also watch out for Auburn’s potent offense who averages 84 points a game.
Why Auburn Could Win:
Auburn’s offense has been lethal so far this season averaging 84 points a game. This should give the Tigers a prime advantage versus a weak Kentucky defense that gives up 67 points a game which is currently 86th best in the country. Auburn must also play good defense themselves and watch out for the scoring attack of Keldon Johnson, Reid Travis, and Tyler Herro who at least average 12 points a game for Kentucky.
Players to Watch:
For Kentucky I wanna see freshman Tyler Herro to be more efficient from the field. Herro has averaged 13 points, four rebounds, and two assists while shooting 44% from the field and 32% from three.
If Auburn wants to defend home court they need a lot better efficiency from Jared Harper. Harper has averaged 15 points, three rebounds, and six assists while sooting a horrid 38 % from the field.
Score Prediction:
I think this game will be dog fight. Kentucky and Auburn will trade blows but I trust Kentucky to pull this game out. As it comes down too Kentucky has better offensive weapons on that side of the ball and will out duel Auburn on their way to a close victory. Tigers: 85 Wildcats:83
