Nebraska Travels to Bloomington to Take on Indiana
Indiana (12-4)(3-2 Conf.) is coming off an upset loss to Maryland and is looking to bounce back. While Nebraska (12-4)(2-3 Conf.) is coming off a win against Penn State and looks to get to .500 in Big Ten play.
How Nebraska Can Win:
Nebraska’s defense has been great so far this season only allowing 61 points a game this season. So if anyone should be able to stop Indiana’s duo of Romeo Langford and Juwan Morgan it would be the Cornhuskers. Nebraska should also be able to take advantage of a middle of the pack Indiana defense who gives up 65 points a game.
How Indiana Can Win:
If the Hoosiers want to end this two game losing skid, they must find a way to score on Nebraska’s defense. Nebraska is in the top 35 in the nation in numerous categories including blocked shots per game, fewest fouls a game, and points allowed a game. The Hoosiers must also rebound a lot better as in their upset lost to Maryland the Hoosiers got out rebounded by a margin of 17.
Players to Watch:
For Indiana they need NBA prospect Romeo Langford to keep his stellar play up. Langord has averaged 18 points, eight rebounds, and 2 assists while shooting 53% from the field.
I’m interested to see how junior Isaiah Roby plays after his big performance on Thursday against Penn State. Roby had 22 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks. Roby has averaged 11 points, six rebounds, and one assist for Nebraska this season.
Score Prediction:
Indiana has not played good here lately dropping two straight. That’s why I’m gonna go with Nebraska. The Cornhuskers smothering defense will be too much for Indiana, as the Cornhuskers will pull out a close game.
