No.23 Oklahoma Plays No.25 TCU in Ranked Big 10 Matchup
No.23 Oklahoma (12-3)(1-2) is coming off a Big 10 loss to Texas Tech and look to bounce back from the loss with a win against Oklahoma. While No.25 TCU (12-2)(1-1) is coming off a 77-66 loss to Kansas and is looking to bounce back with a ranked win of their own.
Why TCU Can Win:
IF TCU wants to win this game they must limit their turnovers. In a seven point loss to Kansas on Wednesday, TCU lost the turnover battle 20-12. TCU also must play better defense as Oklahoma averages 74 points a game. Jaylen Fisher returning will give the TCU offense a much needed shot in the arm.
Why Oklahoma Can Win:
Oklahoma must play better defense as the Sooners give up 66 points a game, and with the various weapons TCU has, Oklahoma must play good defense in this game. Oklahoma must take advantage of the battle of the boards. The Sooners average 43 rebounds while the Horned Frogs only average 36 rebounds a game.
Players to Watch:
The Horned Frogs must get more production out of senior JD Miller. Miller has averaged 10.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists a game for the Horned Frogs.
Oklahoma needs to keep getting production out of Christian James. James has averaged 16 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 1.1 assists while shooting 44% from the field.
Score Prediction:
I think Oklahoma is just a better team than TCU. The Horned Frogs did not have a very tough non conference schedule and I think that showed in the game versus Kansas on Wednesday. TCU will put up a good fight but, Oklahoma will pull it out behind strong play from Christian James.
