No.2 Michigan Takes on No.21 Indiana in Ranked Big 10 Matchup
No.2 Michigan (14-0)(3-0) has had a astounding season with win over numerous ranked teams and look to get another one over Indiana. While No.21 Indiana (12-2)(3-1) has had a very good season in their own right and is coming off a conference win over Illinois.
Why Michigan Can Win:
The Wolverines defense has been very good this season only allowing 55 points a game but must watch out for the Indiana offense who averages 78 points a game. Michigan also must watch out for freshman stud Romeo Langford. Langford has averaged 18.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and two assists while shooting 51% from the field. If Michigan wants to win this game they need to slow down Langford.
Why Indiana Can Win:
The Hoosiers must find a way to score on a very good Michigan defense that only allows 55 points a game which ranks third in the nation. Indiana also has to play good defense versus Michigan. As Michigan has good offensive weapons in Ignas Brazdeikis, Charles Mathews, and Jordan Poole. If Indiana wants to win this game they need to at least limit one of these three.
Players to Watch:
For Michigan I think they need to get more efficient production out of Charles Mathews. The senior guard has averaged 13.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists a game while only shooting 44% from the field.
Romeo Langord is definitely the best player on Indiana but he will need help. So I’m looking for senior forward Juwan Morgan. Morgan has averaged 16 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists while shooting 67% percent from the field.
Score Prediction:
This Indiana team is very talented and has a great team but I just think Michigan is on another level. Michigan defense will just be too much for Indiana as they cruise to an easy win. Wolverines: 69 Hoosiers: 61
