Virginia Tech Takes Down Boston College in a Close Game

Virginia Tech defeated Boston College 77-66. Virginia Tech advances to 13-1 and 2-0 in ACC play as Boston College falls to 9-4 and 0-1 in the ACC.
The Eagles went into the half up 32-30 but couldn’t keep the Hokies contained in the 2nd half as Virginia Tech exploded for 47 points to Boston College’s 34. The Hokies were lead by Nickeil Alexander-Walker, who scored 25 points, and Kerry Blackshear, who scored 20. While the Hokies were struggling on offense in the first half, Nickeil and Kerry kept the Hokies in the game scoring when they could and playing exceptional defense. Boston College made a surge at the end of the game bringing the Virginia Tech lead to just 6, but the Hokies found a way to pull out in the end.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker tied his season high in points today scoring 25 points on 64% shooting (9-14). He also added 3 rebounds, 2 blocks and 2 steals. Nickeil helped the Hokies go on a few runs including the game clintching 13-2 run.
