No.4 UVA Takes on No.9 Florida State in Ranked ACC Matchup

With a perfect non conference record to start the season, No.4 Virginia (12-0) is in great shape heading into ACC play. No.9 Florida State (12-1) is having a great season in their own right only losing to the defending National Champions Villanova and look to upset UVA in Charlottesville.
How Virginia Can Win:
It’s a known fact that the Cavaliers rely on Tony Bennet’s signature Pac Line defense for the Hoos to win games. That focus can not change for UVA in this game as Florida State has a very high powered offense averaging 81 points a game. Also on defense the Cavaliers must watch out for Terrence Mann who averages 13 points, six rebounds and two assists while shooting 55% from the field.
How Flordia State Can Win:
If the Noles want any chance of winning this game they need to find a way to put the ball in the basket against a very good UVA defense. The Cavalier defense gives up the least amount of points only giving up 51 points a game. Virginia should also be able to take advantage of a very lackluster FSU defense who allows 68 points a game.
Players to Watch:
For Virginia they are gonna need a more efficient outing from Ty Jerome . Jerome has averaged 14 points, four assists and four rebounds while only shooting 44% from the field.
If Flordia State wants to pull of an upset on the road they must get a good game from Terrence Mann. Mann has averaged 13 points, six rebounds and two assists while shooting 55% from the field.
Score Prediction:
Virginia’s efficiency on both sides of the floor will be too much for the Seminoles. As the Noles will get torched on the offensive side of the ball and lock them down on defense. Cavaliers: 60 Seminoles: 55
