No.24 Nebraska Takes on Maryland in Big 10 Play
The No.24 Nebraska Cornhuskers (11-2) (1-1) have had a very good season so far. The Cornhuskers are coming off a blow out win over Southwest Minnesota State. While Maryland (10-3) (1-1) has also had a good season and our coming off a 78-64 win over Radford.
Why Nebraska Could Win:
The Cornhuskers do not have to anything different in this game then they have all season. Nebraska has only allowed 57 points a game this season, but must watch out for Maryland’s offense, who has averaged 77 points a game this season. The Cornhuskers should be able to take advantage of a middle of the pack Maryland defense.
Why Maryland Could Win:
If the Terrapins wanna win this game they are going to have to play a full 40 minute game. Which means Maryland will have to find a way to score against a Nebraska defense who has only allowed 57 points a game. Also the Terrapins will have to play great defense against a Nebraska team that averages 80 points a game.
Players to Watch:
For Nebraska James Palmer Jr. must be more efficient for them to win this game. As Palmer has averaged 19 points, three rebound and two assists while only shooting 40% from the field.
If Maryland wants to pull off the upset they need a big showing from Bruno Fernando. As the sophomore has averaged 14 points, nine rebounds while shooting 70% from the field.
Score Prediction:
I think Nebraska’s ability to play elite on both ends of the floor will be too much for Maryland. As the Cornhuskers will go on the road and get a easy win behind a big game from James Palmer Jr. Cornhuskers: 74 Terrapins: 65
