Offensive Players to Watch:
Boston College: AJ Dillon has been a great explosive power-back for the Eagles this season. His ability to take a solid defense and reduce them to crumbles that are unable to tackle is amazing. Dillon has ran up 1,108 rushing yards and 10 Rushing TDs. It is known that Boise State has a stellar rushing defense, so Dillon will need to be on. For now, we ponder on whether or not Dillon can perform at the level he has all season in his last bowl game.
Boise State: A solid quarterback to pick apart the Boston College defense is what the Broncos need. And luckily for them, they have someone who may be able to do that. This is in Brett Rypien who has done a fantastic job at quarterback for the Broncos. Rypien has had a great senior season at Boise State with throwing 3,705 passing yards and tossing 30 passing touchdowns. It will be nothing surprising to see this great talent have a good game against a mediocre pass defense.
Defensive Players to Watch:
Boise State: With a strong rushing attack on the way, Boise State will need to make sure their second-level is intact. This will be directed through Jabril Frazier, who runs the shifting linebacker spot for the Broncos. Frazier has had a great senior season at 50 total tackles, 9.0 tackles-for-loss, and 5.5 sacks. This will most likely be a showing trend to what he will do this game against the Eagles. Watch out for Jabril Frazier to try to secure a last bowl win before his hopeful try for the pros.
Boston College: I feel that the Eagles will be focused on bringing a lot of men on the sides of the Boise line. This will start with Wyatt Ray who has been the leading attacker on the Boston College outside. His ability to flood the outsides and collapse the pocket onto the quarterback is at a crazy level. Ray has amounted 44 total tackles, 11.5 tackles-for-loss, and 9.0 sacks. Watch out for Wyatt Ray to give the Eagles one last great effort to hopefully be sent off the right way with a bowl win.
The Basics
I think if we see the stats and simply take them in we see that Boise State is the better team. Boise Stats boasts a better offense and defense than the Boston College Eagles. This means they can score at a faster rate and are more likely to produce takeaways and turnovers. I think we see a strong Boise State game the whole way with a more dominant win type.
