0 Yikes. Consider yourself lucky if you’re among the WVU fans who decided to watch Football rather then this free throw competition. Both teams had 28 personal fouls totaling 56. Fifty Six. Five Six. The refs we’re calling everything, there were roughly 40,000 technical fouls for little to no reason. Sags was out and Beetle never got into a rhythm which made a huge difference for WVU.
Takeaways:
- Wesley Harris played great. Probably his best game as a Mountaineer. 18-9 on 5/6 shooting.
- WVU needs Sags. His impact on defense is obvious, but without him the WVU offense runs stagnant.
- Rhode Island may be a tourney team. They have an experienced group with a stingy defense that forces mistakes. Their starting lineup all finished double digits.
- Beetle needs to play well for WVU to compete with Big 12 teams. Everyone has a bad game, and he was in foul trouble, but WVU needs him.
- This years press is not the press we’ve seen in past seasons. Only 9 turnovers for Rhode Island.
- Keep an eye out for Jeff Dowtin on NBA mock drafts. Big guard who can score and avoid turnovers.
