Predicting the Winner of every FBS Conference Championship Game
We will be doing game-by-game predictions for every Top 25 team every week and keeping a record of our accuracy. Not great, but solid 14-4 last week. I think I’m 0-12 on Syracuse picks this year.
Record 164-46 (78%)
Pac 12 Championship: 17 Utah Vs. 11 Washington
Washington had a huge 13-point win over Washington State last week and absolutely scorching right now. Look for Senior Jake Browning to wrap up his PAC 12 career with a huge game. Washington won easily in the beginning of the season, and they will do that again.
Washington 27-21
Big 12 Championship: 14 Texas Vs. 5 Oklahoma
Texas beat Oklahoma 48-45 on the road last time they matched up and this should be another close one. Oklahoma lost 2 fumbles and threw a pick last game, Texas had no turnovers. Unless that happens again, which is unlikely, Oklahoma will win this football game. 80, 800, 8000 I don’t care Take The Over.
Oklahoma 45-38
Sun Belt Championship: Louisiana Vs. Appalachian State
Appalachian State’s defense is for real. At home? The question here isn’t will they win, its will Louisiana hit double digits. Appalachian State in a blowout.
App. State 37-13
C-USA Championship: UAB Vs. Middle Tennessee
UAB lost to Middle Tennessee 27-3 in Floyd Stadium last week. This week UAB plays Middle Tennessee in Floyd Stadium. Middle Tennessee’s defense looked like the 85’ Bears and UAB had 89 total yards. 89. -1 rushing yards. -1. Has something drastic changed since last week? Not to my knowledge.
Middle Tennessee 24-13
American Championship: Memphis Vs. 8 UCF
Milton went down with an absolutely horrific leg injury last week, and Darriel Mack Jr. took over as QB1. Let’s go over what we know about Oladokun: Freshman, 3 Star Dual Threat, 5/14 for 81 yards last week. On paper, that’s not a great sign. Darrell Henderson has a big game and wins a close one over the defending national champs.
Memphis 23-21
SEC Championship: 1 Alabama Vs. 4 Georgia
Don’t want to brag but I’m 13-0 on Alabama picks this season. Alabama is the better team. I don’t think that’s really debatable, with that being said Georgia isn’t exactly Citadel. Outside of a road loss to LSU where they had 4 turnovers, Georgia hasn’t won by less than 10 points in any game. Could I be falling for LSU Vs. Alabama round 2? Probably. Alabama in a 1 score game.
Alabama 34-31
Mountain West Championship: 25 Fresno State Vs. 22 Boise State
Boise State does not lose on the Blue Turf. It has never happened (don’t fact check that its true). Mattison ran for 144 Yards and 2 TDs as Boise State squeaked by 24-17 in the first matchup. If NFL bound Rypien has a better game this won’t be close.
Boise State 31-21
ACC Championship: 2 Clemson Vs. Pitt
Pitt has no business in this game. They are the 5thor 6thbest team in the ACC tops. I don’t really need to go into too much detail here if you’ve seen Clemson play this season. This pick is a guarantee.
Clemson 42-17
Big Ten Championship: 21 Northwestern Vs. 6 Ohio State
Ohio State has lost to Purdue by 29. They have beat Michigan by 23. They were 1 play away from losing to Unranked Maryland. They beat Michigan State by 20. I don’t understand anymore. Makes no sense to me whatsoever. Northwestern is a very good team at 8-1 in conference, but they just don’t have the firepower to keep up with this Ohio State team when they’re on their game.
Ohio State 43-27
MAC Championship: Northern Illinois Vs. Buffalo
Buffalo has been dominating the MAC this season at 7-1. Northern Illinois looks rough on paper at 7-5 overall, but some very tough non-conference matchups have hurt that record. I love Buffalo in this matchup. Tyree Jackson is a baller and will show up big in the conference championship. Bulls by 7+.
