Spartans Set Up to Take Down Louisville with ACC-Big Ten Challenge
This looks to be a one-sided affair in terms of play in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge. The Michigan State Spartans only sit on one loss early on to a highly ranked Kansas. And with Louisville, they have dropped 2 games in a row to Tennessee and Marquette.
How Michigan State Can Win
They just need to keep doing what they been doing. This has been working for all of their games to today. Yes, they did lose to Kansas, but it was only by 5 and that was a Top-10 team. More specifically, keep the ball moving around and take smart shots when they become available. Also, keeping a defensive pressure inside the paint to eliminate one of Louisville’s most prized forms of scoring.
How Louisville Can Win
Louisville needs to step out of their comfort zone against Michigan State. They need to be more physical in the paint and shoot up way more threes to have a shot. First off, this Michigan State team will out-rebound you in a second, so battling them in the paint would prove beneficial. Also, taking a lot of 3-point shots, against a Michigan State team that will most likely try to guard the paint, will come in need.
Players to Watch
Michigan State: Kenny Goins will be the man that secures the Spartan’s victory. His presence in the paint, sitting at 9 rebounds, will need to come out in stride tonight. Also, the support in scoring with around 7-points to add to a high scoring team.
Louisville: Jordan Nwora will have to be the point leader for Louisville regardless of a win or loss. Nwora has been viable for Louisville all season, so far, with his scoring and high shooting percentage. I think Louisville may throw off Michigan State with Nwora running most of the floor for most of the game.
Score Prediction
This isn’t the Louisville we would like to see, but what do you expect after the Pitino times. Michigan State, on the other hand, is having a blast against teams that don’t mach them on paper. This will be one-sided for the whole night in a Michigan State win. Michigan State 88, Louisville 74
