Virginia Tech Beats Virginia 34-31 in OT Thriller
Game Recap
This game was a thriller. As the first half ended Virginia Tech was leading 14-0 and looked to be in complete control of the game, but UVA was determined to stay in the game. The Cavaliers scored four straight touchdowns to take the lead 28-24 with 6:51 left to go in the game. Then the Hoos intercepted Ryan Willis’s tipped pass. The Hokies defense finally got a stop forcing UVA to a field goal making the score 31-24 with 2:41 left to go in the game. Then magic happened on a 3rd and 10 pass, Ryan Willis just threw it up to tight end Dalton Keene who ripped it away from UVA cornerback Bryce Hall. Then only a few plays later RB Steven Peoples was stripped and fumbled the ball into the end zone only to be recovered in the end zone by WR Hezekiah Grimsley making the game 31-31 forcing it into OT. On the Hokies first drive in overtime, Tech was stopped and forced to a 42 yard field goal by kicker Brian Johnson making the game 34-31. On Cavaliers first drive QB Bryce Perkins fumbled the ball and it was recovered by Virginia Tech. Giving the Hokies a win over UVA for the 15th straight year.

Turner had 4 catches for 69 yards and a touchdown. Turner came up with some huge plays for the Hokies including an insane one handed catch for a touchdown.

Virginia Tech will look to become bowl eligible in a game against Marshall on Dec.1.
Virginia will await a bowl destination.
