Game Run Down:
Both The Gamecocks and The Gators came into this one as 3 loss teams, and looking for a much needed win.
Jake Bentley and The South Carolina offense came out firing early, jumping out to a quick 14-0 lead. But poor execution by The South Carolina defense, and strong running from Florida, allowed The Gators to comeback not once, but twice: later in the game, South Carolina held another significant lead. It was 31-14 with just under 6:00 remaining in the 3rd quarter. It was 3rd & 8 for Florida, and just when it seemed like South Carolina could put this one away, Felipe Franks pulled off the play of the game. After a bad snap flew over the quarterbacks head, he quickly recovered the ball and rolled out to his right. Franks was forced to throw an ill advised pass that was tipped and almost intercepted before landing reluctantly into the hands of Florida wide receiver Trevon Grimes for a pivotal 1st down. The Gators went on to score 21 unanswered, to beat The Gamecocks 35-31.
