- Virginia Tech vs. Boston College: Definitely BC, Even if VT won out until the UVA game Virginia can still win the Coastal, but a VT loss is always fun right?
- RESULT: BC WINS
- Duke @ Miami: Duke, Miami still only has two losses, but a loss to Duke would basically knock them out of contention. RESULT: DUKE WINS
- WEEK 11
- Virginia Tech @ PITT: We need two PITT loses so believe it or not we need to cheer for tech this week.Miami @ Georgia Tech: If Miami loses this week this game may not matter, but if they win then go jackets.Virginia vs Liberty: This game won’t affect the ACC standings win or lose but obviously GO HOOS!
- WEEK 12
- Virginia @ Georgia Tech: This is a must win against a tricky triple-option offense, Go Hoos!PITT @ Wake Forest: Again PITT needs to lose twice, this could be a very likely loss considering its @ Wake and there is a good chance the Deacs will be playing for bowl eligibility.Miami @ Virginia Tech: Even if Miami still only has two losses at this point root for the canes. We have the head to head over them, we don’t over tech yet.
- WEEK 13
- Virginia @ Virginia Tech: The streak’s gotta end sometime right? It will have to this year if the Hoos want to go to the ACC Championship.PITT @ Miami: PITT has to lose twice and we have the head to head over Miami and we don’t over PITT. This could be the deciding factor (besides our game against VT) if we win the Coastal. This is a good possibility considering how PITT ruined Miami’s CFP chances this week last year, you can bet your buffers that they want revenge.
- BEST CASE SCENARIO: Virginia wins out and PITT loses out (or loses twice) and VT loses out.
- WORST CASE SCENARIO: Virginia loses to either GT or VT or both and PITT or VT doesn’t lose the required amount
- THIS CAN’T HAPPEN EITHER: Tech can’t win out and PITT can’t win more than one game.
- THIS COULD WOULD WORK TOO: Virginia could lose one game if: PITT loses the rest of their games and if the Hoos beat VT or if PITT loses the rest of their games and Tech loses twice, then UVA would only have to beat GT.
The Coastal division is once again very chaotic, and while PITT cleary has an advantage, one thing we have learned over the years is that anything can happen in the Coastal.
