Louisville: Jaylen Smith has proved to be a good player among the pool of pity that has surrounded this team. His ability to be speedy and run great routes have helped this offense to execute some drives. Smith currently has 373 receiving yards this year and 1 touchdown. Louisville will try to get the ball in Smith’s hands this Saturday.
Clemson: After an incredible viewing of a game last week, Tee Higgins is undeniably a top receiver in the conference, maybe the league. Higgins ability to make miracle catches and out-maneuver his defensive counterpart is astounding. Watch for Lawrence to toss up a lot Higgin’s way.
Defensive Players to watch:
Louisville: G.G. Robinson has made a name for himself in the ACC after his 2018 tenure to this point. Louisville likes to apply pressure through the middle with their 4-3 defense. Robinson has 20 tackles and 2 sacks this year and wants to bump those numbers up for the draft, if he decides to go. Watch for Robinson to disrupt this Clemson line for some time this game.
Clemson: Austin Bryant is one part of this disaster-causing front-four for the Clemson Tigers. Is uncanny ability to beat the line on the outside to get to the quarterback is a viable asset to Clemson. This defense has been able to get many sacks on the year and will look to do more on a weak Louisville offense. Bryant has 3 sacks and 6 tackles-for-losses so far and wants to add more hopefully this weekend.
The Basics:
Clemson is a playoff team. Louisville wants the season to end. Post-Jackson era for Louisville has gone nothing but bad for them. It gets even worse when the team allows more points than they score. Also, Clemson averages (522.6) offensive yards a game and Louisville won’t be able to stop it at any point Saturday. Watch this be a field day for Clemson and another thumping for Louisville.
