Baylor Vs. WVU Game Predictions
Date: Thursday, Oct. 25 | Time: 7 p.m. ET
Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
WVU is coming one of their most embarrassing losses in recent memory to Iowa State. They have Playoff hopes, but now that margin of error looks paper thin. Baylor is at a sneaky 4-3 after winning only 1 game last season. The Betting Lines are set at WVU -13.5, tabbed as the somewhat heavy favorite. Both teams are coming off a bye and have had plenty of time to prepare for the high-powered on the other side of the field.
Stories to watch:
WVU Will Grier: Coming off his worst collegiate performance of his career, look for him to bounce back and pick on the same Baylor secondary that allowed Kyler Murray to throw for 432 Yards and 6 TDs.
Baylor Charlie Brewer: Brewer had a breakout last year in his freshman season, and has continued in his sophomore campaign. Just shy of 1800 Yards and 10 TDs to only 3 INTs, Brewer is asserting himself as one of the best in the Big 12.
WVU Recievers: The three headed monster of Sills, Jennings, and Simms have been a problem for teams all season and will likely be too much for a weak Baylor secondary.
Baylor Receivers: Denzel Mims and Tennessee Transfer Jalen Hurd have broken out this season, and been a big factor in Baylor’s resurgence. Both are weekly threats to put up 100 Yards.
WVU Defense: Baylor will not be able to stop WVU’s offense. Can WVU stop Baylor’s? If they force turnovers and get stops this game is already over.
Prediction
WVU 51-38
