No Love For The Cardinals
Louisville has had a rough couple of years. They lose their Hall of Fame coach Rick Pitino. They had interim HC David Padgett who led the team to 22-14 (9-9). This was a borderline NCAA team if they would’ve beaten Virginia at home. David Padgett had lots of talents of experience. He had Deng Adel, Raymond Spalding, Quentin Snider, and Anas Mahmoud. Louisville last season made it to the NIT and lost to Mississippi State in the first round. But does that mean The Cardinals are bad? They add a great coach who was the number 1 seed in the tournament last season who lost in the second round. The season after that Coach Mack took Xavier as the no.11 seed to the Elite 8. That was with his talent but he is a great coach of developing players. Louisville brings back V.J. King and Ryan McMahon. These two are the only players they return back from last season. But they’ll have to learn a new system. But I still think they can possibly make the tournament. Louisville adds some great transfers, Akoy Agau from SMU, Christen Cunningham from Samford University, Khwan Fore from Richmond, Will Rainey from Spalding University, and Steven Enoch from UConn. This team just needs to come together as one. Louisville isn’t the best team in the great ACC but they are in the middle of the pack. And maybe in February or March, they are in a position to make the NCAA tournament. Prediction for Louisville for this upcoming season is 23-11 (11-7).
