Washington Keeps Pac-12 Championship Hopes Alive With Win Over Colorado
Coming off an overtime loss to Oregon, The Huskies had backed themselves into a corner. If Washington still wanted a chance at a Pac-12 title and a Rose bowl appearance, they would have to show up and beat Colorado.
The Huskies did just that. Washington defended their home field with a 27-13 victory over Colorado.
Unfortunately for Colorado, star wide receiver, Laviska Shenault Jr. didn’t make the trip due to a toe injury. If Shenault was able to play this game would have been much more competitive.
Although Washington wasn’t completely healthy either. Star running back, Myles Gaskin was held out due to a shoulder injury.
Early on it looked as if the Buffs would be okay without their star wideout. On their first drive Steven Montez hooked up with Daniel Arias for a 37 yard touchdown. The UW defense was able to put the clamps on from that point on Colorado wasn’t able to put the ball in the end zone.

Last week, Washington’s CFP hopes were flushed down the drain with a road loss to Oregon. Fortunately, for the Huskies they still are playing for a Pac-12 title and a Rose bowl appearance.
Colorado started 5-0. After the loss they fall to 5-2. The Buffaloes will look to regroup next week vs Oregon State.
