Purdue Pulls Of Stunning Upset Of Ohio State
Every year in College Football there seems to be one jaw dropping upset that nobody saw coming. The Purdue Boilermakers just made a pretty good case to claim that coveted upset. The victory marks the first win for Purdue vs a #2 ranked team since 1984.
After an 0-3 start, it looked like this season for Purdue would be thrown in the trash like so many of the previous others. However, Jeff Brohm would not let his team quit. The Boilermakers continued to fight. This fight by Purdue has been about more than just football. This fight has been for cancer patient, and Purdue super fan, Tyler Trent. The Boilers made Trent and many others proud.
On the filed, a major reason for the Purdue upset was true Freshman, Rondale Moore. Moore was all over the field on Saturday night, the Freshman caught 12 passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns.
As for the Buckeyes, Dwayne Haskins did all that he could possibly do. Haskins threw for a school record 470 yards. This loss can not, and will not be put on the shoulders of the Sophomore quarterback.
OSU will get a much needed bye next week.
The Boilers will look to extend their win streak to 5 against Michigan State.
