There is no question about it. Duke is loaded. The Blue Devils continue to reload. Despite losing Marvin Bagley, Grayson Allen, Trevon Duval, and Gary Tent Jr. Coach K continues to recruit on the highest level. This year Duke brings in the top ranked recruiting class. The 2018 Duke class features the top 3 ranked players and the number 1 ranked PG. Its safe to say there will be no shortage of talent at Cameron this year.
This year Duke bring in one of the top recruiting classes in College Basketball history. The class features superstar players such as, R.J Barrett, Zion Williamson, Cam Reddish, and Tre Jones all will assemble to form this team.
Duke’s biggest problem last year was the lack of depth. Unfortunately, this issue wont improve this year. During Duke’s Canada tour over the summer, R.J Barrett and Zion Williamson did most of the heavy lifting, as the due combined for over half of the teams points. Granted, Duke was without Cam Reddish and Tre Jones. If Duke is to win the ACC and make a Final Four run, the Blue Devils will need depth.
If Duke is able to find scoring off the bench, it will most likely come from Javin DeLaurier. Last year, DeLaurier was one of the most essential players coming off the bench.
No matter what, Duke will be one of the top teams in College Basketball. Expect the Blue Devils to be competing for an ACC championship all year.
