Way, Way to Early 2018 NFL Mock Draft
This mock draft caters to the expected abilities of the prospect, lesser to the needs of the team.
1 – Arizona Cardinals – Ed Oliver – DT – Houston
Arizona is scraping for anything, and Oliver’s versatility makes him a prime target on draft big boards.
2 – Houston Texans – Jonah Williams – OT – Alabama
Deshaun Watson has already been sacked 17 times, and the o-line needs a serious rebuild.
3 – Indianapolis Colts – Nick Bosa – DE – Ohio State
Nick Bosa’s aiming to be an souped up Joey Bosa, which bodes well for any team that nabs him in the first round.
4 – New York Giants – Justin Herbert
Herbert fits the pass-happy MO of NFL quarterbacks, and New York needs to dip their foot in the water to the thought of replacing Eli Manning.
5 – New York Jets – Greg Little – OT – Ole Miss
A strong unit up front will help in the development of quarterback, Sam Darnold.
6 – Oakland Raiders – Clelin Ferrell
John Gruden pleads pass rusher, and Ferrell is his man. Arguably the most NFL ready player on Clemson’s d-line, Ferrell already has five sacks through five games.
7 – San Francisco Giants – Greedy Williams – CB – LSU
Williams is the clear-cut best defensive back in the draft, with two interceptions already on the year.
8 – Buffalo Bills – Devin White – LB – LSU
For a team in need of all positions on both sides of the ball, a core defensmen is a strong starting point.
9 – Detroit Lions – N’Keal Harry – WR – ASU
Harry’s 6-4, 213 pound frame and elite speed makes him the nations best wide receiver and Matt Stafford’s next Calvin Johnson-esque target.
10 – Atlanta Falcons – DK Metcalf – WR – Ole Miss
Metcalf has proven to be an elite deep ball threat, and a possible steal if he drops to the late first round.
