Nobody is Sleeping on Kentucky Anymore, How Will the Team React?
The Kentucky Wildcats used to be the bottom dwellers of the SEC, a basketball school that could care less about football. Well, it appears as if those days are numbered. After a convincing win in Gainsville against the Gators to receive their first win in 3 decades, and a shocking win vs a top 25 Mississippi State team, the Wildcats are excited and you can’t blame them!
Kentucky has proved the doubters wrong, and shown that they know how to play some football. The Wildcats now have the momentum, talent, and coaching to compete for the SEC Eastern Division, and with Tennessee and Florida both down, South Carolina and Georgia are the only other teams that can compete for the division.
The Wildcats and Gamecocks will clash tomorrow at 7:30 ET in a game with much relevance in the divisional race. If South Carolina wins, not many other teams could keep up with the Dawgs and essentially the race for the East would be over.
But in the end, Kentucky is no longer everyone’s little brother. They will compete, we’ll see how they handle the pressure.
