Record 15-4 (79%)
Competitive Games:
2 Clemson Vs. Texas A&M
Texas A&M looked sharp week 1, but this Clemson defense is unbelievably talented. Expect them to keep it close at home, but a win would be a huge upset. Clemson by two scores. Keep an eye on how Kelly Bryant performs and if top recruit Trevor Lawrence makes an appearance for the tigers.
Clemson 37-23
3 Georgia Vs. 24 South Carolina
This is South Carolina’s chance to establish themselves as a contender against a very talented Georgia team. Jake Bentley is the best QB in the SEC that nobody knows about and Deebo Samuel is one of the best playmakers in the nation. Expect this to be close but Georgia is too much of a powerhouse be able to pick against.
Georgia 24-17
13 Penn State Vs. Pitt
Pitt ended last season with a 10-point win over the #2 Miami and will look to have a similar outcome with Penn State coming off an embarrassing win against App State. I think PSU rights the ship here and blows out a talented unranked team in Pitt.
PSU 45-10
Close Calls:
17 USC Vs. 10 Stanford
Stanford and USC is probably the best game of the week in terms of matchups and could have huge implications in the Pac 12. USC is relying on a true freshman on the road. A talented true freshman, but a true freshman none the less. Bryce Love puts up 150 Yards and wins at home in a close one.
Stanford 39-37
18 Mississippi State Vs. Kansas State
Kansas State has one of the best Offensive Lines in CFB and match up well with a talented Mississippi team. Keytaon Thompson had a huge week last week and KSU struggled to beat a South Dakota team that had no business being in that game.
Mississippi State 24-21
15 Michigan State Vs. Arizona State
Michigan State skated by a Utah State team last week in an embarrassing week 1 showing. Arizona State is looking to push towards the top of the Pac 12 and this non-conference game over a ranked Big Ten team will be a huge factor in how people see them this season. The Herm Edwards era may be looking good, but I like MSU in a close one.
MSU 28-25
The Locks: Don’t really need to go into too much detail on any of these games as most of them seem to be locks and blowouts.
