Measurables:
- Age: 19
- Height: 6’4.75″
- Wingspan: 6’5″
- Weight: 192 LBs
Strengths:
Projects as elite shooter. Can hit shots on the move and when contested.
Good size for a combo guard at 6’5″.
Shown ability to run an offense. Pick-and-roll skills are among best in the draft.
Good FT shooter (80%).
Creative finisher at the rim.
1st Team All Hair.
Weaknesses:
Turnover prone. 2.7 TO in 28.5 MPG.
Wild shot selection at times.
Not very explosive as an athlete. Plays below the rim.
NBA Comparison:
Jamal Murray
Combo guards with good size and lethal jumpers. Neither are explosive athletes, but their quickness and acrobatic finishing abilities allow them to finish at the rim. They have the handles to be primary playmakers and the size/shooting to play off-ball at the SG slot.
NBA Draft Outlook:
5-9 Range.
Ideal Fits:
Phoenix at 6:
Coby White and Devin Booker would be a SCARY offensive combo. Both have in the gym range and are capable of hitting shots with a hand in their face. Suns are in need of a PG and if they choose one here, it will likely be between Garland or White at 6.
Chicago at 7:
Bulls have some good young talent but could use an upgrade at the PG slot. White’s shooting and LaVine’s athleticism would be very complimentary offensively and give the Bulls a legit starting 5 moving forward.
