Nassir Little NBA Draft Scouting Report and Pro Comparison
Measurables:
- Age: 19
- Height: 6’6″
- Wingspan: 7’1.25″
- Weight: 225 LBs
Strengths:
Unbelievable size at 6’6″ with a 7’1.25″ wingspan.
Very athletic.
Solid FT shooter (77.0 FT%).
A lot of defensive upside.
Great rebounder for a wing.
Weaknesses:
Very inconsistent offensively.
Has limited playmaking skills.
Very little polish. May be 1-2 years away from starting.
Undeveloped as a shooter.
Pro Comparison:
Rudy Gay
Little is such a young player that he doesn’t really have a solid pro comparison, but Rudy Gay is a solid prediction of what he could be. Plus defenders with longs arms, both players are athletic scorers who can create some offense and use their size on smaller guards. Rudy was a bit more developed as a shooter when he came in the league, but Little is still 19.
NBA Draft Projection:
7-14 Range.
Ideal Fits:
Washington at 9:
Little could be able to compete for minutes on a shallow front court Day 1 and learn from established stars in Beal/Wall. His athleticism and and versatility would be a great fit on a team that already has some ball handlers.
Boston at 14:
Little’s best situation would probably be landing on an established team where he doesn’t have a ton of pressure to be good right away. Since this is the lottery and basically everyone is some cheeks, sliding to Boston at 14 would probably be best for him Long-Term. Little’s defensive upside and finishing ability would be a great compliment to offensive minded Jason Tatum.
