Measurables:
- Age: 20
- Height: 6’9.5″
- Wingspan: 7’1.75″
- Weight: 210 LBs
Strengths:
Good scorer off the dribble. Can get to the hoop well with ease.
Great handles for his size.
A lot of potential as a shooter. 36.8 3PT% on 3 3PA.
Great size for a 3/4. Long arms.
Weaknesses:
Needs to add weight, especially to play PF.
Has tools to be good defender, but has a lot of work to do.
Not a huge factor on the boards.
NBA Comparison:
Poor Man’s Brandon Ingram
Smooth scorer who uses handles and size to get to the rim for high percentage looks. A mismatch nightmare who can blow by 4s and use size against smaller 3s. Defensively they’re still a bit of a work in progress, but use their length and quickness to contest shots.
NBA Draft Outlook:
25-35 Range.
Ideal Fits:
Portland at 25:
Portland has very little offensive talent in the frontcourt. Okpala would be a nice pickup who can get to the rim a stretch the floor a little bit. He’s still raw, but he has the potential to be a much needed No. 3 option behind the dynamic backcourt.
Brooklyn at 27:
Brooklyn’s fast paced offense would be perfect for the lanky slasher in Okpala. His offensive potential would be welcomed on a bench unit that doesn’t have a ton of depth and would benefit from some more size.
